Air warfare involving the ability of stealth fighter jets is in sight, for that countries such as the United States, Russia and China, are increasingly preparing to deploy elements of stealth fighter aircraft carefully.

In particular, Russia, which is currently focusing on its military operations in Ukraine, faces many challenges to prepare the Sukhoi Su-57 Felon fighter to be ready for combat, plus projections on the development of the Sukhoi Su-75 Checkmate, which is scheduled to fly for the first time in 2024.

Regarding the debut of the Russian stealth fighter jet, there is news that Russia is now building a new factory for serial production of the Su-57 Felon. Quoted from Bulgarianmilitary.com (31/8/2022), it is stated that Russia is building a new production assembly line for the Su-57 in Komsomolsk Amur, Russia's Far East.

It is expected that the number of Su-57s produced will increase in the coming years, most likely, the new Su-57 production line will take over the production line of another Russian aircraft, namely the Su-75.

Inside the new production facility, the Russian Federation is building an avionics test facility, fuel dock and engine test station, said people familiar with the matter. According to unconfirmed information, the new production base will be equipped with a pilot training facility with a virtual reality system.

The Su-57 has been in serial production for at least the past two years, but so far only about 10 have been built. Under the agreement signed between the Russian Federation and Rostec, the Russian Air Force expects to receive 76 Su-57 Felons.

Vladimir Artyakov, deputy director of Rostec, recently announced that the new facility of the KnAAZ flight test station will receive the first aircraft in the second half of next year.

Russian website Voennoe Delo says the new manufacturing will improve the quality of the series-produced fighter jets as well as their stealth capabilities. The new plant will have modern technology that will compete with those in China and the United States. However, Russia's flagship fighter, such as the Sukhoi Su-35, will not be produced at the new plant.

According to people familiar with this news, the Russian Federation plans to end production of the Su-35 in 2027 and focus on serial production of the Su-57 and Su-75, both for the domestic and international markets.

Meanwhile, there is no word on whether the S-70 Okhotnik combat drone will be produced on the production line of a new facility that is planned to open. Voenno Delo said that the Komsomolsk plant in Amur in the Far East would also produce the latest engine, which the Russian Air Force had long hoped for.

This refers to the Izdelie 30 engine, which will bear the trade name Saturn 30. The new plant will also carry out assembly work on the Su-57 for the installation of electronic warfare devices and laser-based protection systems.
