The initial design of the Ninox 40 is similar to that of the Drone 40, in that it is a projectile shell that can be inserted into the barrel of a 40 mm grenade launcher.
The Ninox 40 has a role in supporting intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions. SpearUAV said that the design of the Ninox 40 was designed to provide a tactical advantage to support tactical information in troop-run missions.
The Ninox can only be operated by one personnel and can be launched from various types of 40 mm grenade launchers. And most importantly, this drone can be released in seconds, and its functional aspects are just as easy when a soldier removes a grenade from the launcher.

In the form of a capsule tube, after being ejected, the Ninox 40 will develop four rotor blades. Powered by batteries, this infantry reconnaissance drone can fly for 40 minutes and the drone weighs only 250 grams. During flight, drone control is carried out by Line of Sight (LoS) by the operator who controls the drone's maneuvers and monitors the sensor/camera output via the tablet console.
Compared to the Drone 40 which can only fly for 12 minutes, it is clear that the Ninox 40 is superior in terms of endurance. Even so, the Ninox 40 cannot be loaded with warheads, but can only carry out the ISTAR role.
Unlike the Drone 40, this drone can play the role of a kamikaze drone, because the Drone 40 can carry fragmented high explosive warheads, anti-armor warheads, smoke, and counter drone devices.
