Away from the tensions that occurred in the Black Sea, located in the Barents Sea, the Russian Navy with its Admiral Gorshkov Class frigate on May 28 again conducted a test launch of the Tsirkon (Zircon) hypersonic anti-ship cruise missile.
According to the Russian news agency – Tass, the frigate Gorshkov tested a hypersonic cruise missile Tsirkon from the Barents Sea on a marine target located in the White Sea. According to information from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Tsirkon missile managed to hit a sea target located at a distance of about 1,000 km.
For Russia, the Tsirkon hypersonic missile is like the ultimate weapon to serve the hegemony of Western powers and NATO. Because it is in the category of the ultimate weapon, the Tsirkon's level of secrecy is very high. Not just any Russian personnel can access or see directly the figure of this missile. As for the carrier warship, the frigate Admiral Gorshkov, this frigate is being worked on by Russia under the code Project 22350. Built by the Severnaya Verf shipyard in Saint Petersburg, the frigate with a standard weight of 4,500 tons is planned to be built as many as 15 units. A total of six units will be handed over by the shipyard to the Russian Navy in 2025.

Speaking of missile lines, Admiral Gorshkov is equipped with 16 (2 × 8) UKSK VLS (Vertical Launching System) anti-ship missiles for Kalibr, Oniks or Tsirkon missiles. Then there are the 32 (2×16) Redut VLS cells for the 9M96, 9M96M, 9M96D/9M96DM(M2) or quad-packed 9M100 missiles.

As the main weapon in the bow, the Amethyst/Arsenal A-192M naval gun 130 mm caliber was selected. To ward off close air attacks, Admiral Gorshkov is equipped with two Kashtan CIWS (Close In Weapon System) cannons.

To deal with submarines, Admiral Gorshkov has 2 × 4 torpedo tubes of 330 mm caliber Paket-NK anti-torpedo/anti-s. The frigate with a full weight of 5,400 tons is equipped with hangar facilities and can accommodate one Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopter.
Manned by 210 personnel, this new-age Russian frigate can sail continuously for 30 days. Overall, the Admiral Gorshkov frigate is 135 meters long and 16 meters wide.
