Ukraine urges Western countries to send fighter jets against Russia

Ukraine urged Western countries to send military aid, including fighter jets, Saturday (5/3). This urge was conveyed when Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened Western countries regarding the no-fly zone.

"Our highest demand is for fighter jets, attack aircraft and air defense systems," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.

According to Kuleba, if Ukraine loses control of the air, the number of casualties on the ground will increase.

Russia asks China for food aid during war in Ukraine

Russia has sought military and financial assistance from China amid the conflict with Ukraine. Some of the assistance requested was military food packages that were not perishable.


As reported by CNN on Monday (14/3), the request underscores the basic logistical challenges that experts have long believed are hindering Russia's progress in Ukraine.


US and Chinese Representatives Meet in Rome to Discuss Russia's Invasion of Ukraine

The White House said US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan met senior Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi in Rome, Monday (14/3) local time. The meeting was called to discuss substantial issues regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

"This includes substantial discussions about Russia's war against Ukraine," the White House said in a statement.


Russia Attacks Ukrainian Television Tower, 9 Dead

At least 9 people died after Russian troops attacked a television tower outside the city of Rivne, western Ukraine, Monday (14/3). Authorities said the attack also injured 9 other people.


"Nine were killed, some were injured," the head of the regional government, Vitaliy Koval, said via the Telegram messaging app, as reported by AFP on Monday (14/3).

He also revealed that rescue teams are currently struggling to free people trapped under the rubble in the village of Antopil.


Russia vows to destroy Ukraine's missile-building facilities

Russia has promised to destroy Ukraine's missile-making facilities. Officials made this determination Monday (14/3) after 23 Donetsk residents were killed in an attack by Kyiv forces in the eastern Ukraine region.


Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Russian forces would launch a bombing campaign in areas involved in the production and facilitation of the Tochka-U missile in Ukraine.


Russian Pilot Caught in Ukraine: We've Lost The War

A Russian pilot captured by Ukraine says his country ordered him to attack civilians in Ukraine and has now lost the war.

The pilot, who was later identified as Colonel Krishtop Maxim Sergeevich, was shot down on March 6.


Currently Krishtop along with a number of prisoners are still being held and he urged Russia to immediately stop the war with Ukraine. He said his party had lost this war.
