DOGE Creator Disputes with Famous Youtuber, Dogecoin Price Soars

Dogecoin price jumped above 10% on Thursday (24/3). The price spike comes amid strong warnings from Shibetoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Dogecoin, to the DOGE influencer and well-known YouTuber Matt Wallace.

Based on CoinMarketCap data on Thursday (24/3) at 12.50 WIB, the price of Dogecoin is at US$ 0.1365 or jumped 12.20% in the last 24 hours. During the week, the price of this meme-based cryptocurrency rose 15.55%.

Citing CoinGape, Shibetoshi Nakamoto sent an angry warning to Matt Wallace. He said the Dogecoin Foundation was considering taking legal action against Matt Wallace for trademark infringement.

Matt Wallace is a supporter of Dogecoin, which promotes DOGE on social media. He recently revealed plans to encourage adoption of Dogecoin payments by educating retailers.

For the initiative, Matt Wallace aims to raise funds by developing a new token which he names Dogecoin.

Shibetoshi Nakamoto didn't like the idea and felt something fishy. He also warned Matt Wallace of legal action the Dogecoin Foundation could take.

According to Shibetoshi Nakamoto, Matt Wallace is really breaking the law, and by carrying out the plan, the youtuber is not helping Dogecoin.

"There's nothing positive about being a villain, the thing you do," said Shibetoshi Nakamoto.

To avoid trouble ahead, Shibetoshi Nakamoto asked Matt Wallace not to launch a trademark infringing token and stop talking about Dogecoin.
