Russia has moved more weaponry toward Ukraine, tanks missile launchers, and
other material are seen being shifted westward from Russian bases in the far
east.
While the equipment is still in transit, officials and analysts are debating
whether it represents the next phase in the Kremlin's build-up that has
already placed more than one hundred thousand troops near its country's
border with Ukraine.
As diplomats were holding negotiations over the Ukraine crisis this week,
Russia began moving tanks, infantry fighting vehicles rocket launchers, and
other military equipment westward from their bases in its far east,
according to Ukrainian u.s officials and social media reports.
With more than 100,000 troops already stationed on Russia's border with
Ukraine, officials and analysts are debating whether this is the kremlin's
next step in its military buildup.
Russia has 100,000 troops lined up next to Ukraine with tanks and artillery
while it remains unclear whether Russia will invade Ukraine, experts such as
retired Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Venman are not confident that Russian
President Vladimir Putin will hold off.
"On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being most likely that an invasion will
happen, then man gives it an 8. the most likely scenario in my mind is a
major military offensive in Ukraine," said Venman a former director for
European affairs at the u.s national security council.
Meanwhile, two Russian 222 and three tactical bombers practiced a strike
against Nato forces in eastern Europe.
A pair of Russian 222 and three long-range tactical bombers conducted an
unexpected patrol of the airspace of the borders of the union state. Thereby
practicing strikes against Nato forces which have recently been actively
deployed to eastern Europe.
On the video footage presented by the RIA Novosti news agency, one can see
the process of patrolling the western borders of the union state. The exact
flight path of Russian long-range tactical bombers remains unknown, however, it is likely that as before it passed along the southern and western borders
of Belarus.
At the moment it remains unknown whether the patrols carried out are
connected with military exercises on the territory of Belarus. Experts note
that the flight itself coincided with the beginning of the deployment of u.s
and nato units in eastern Europe.
It should be noted that the fighters of the Belarusian air force and the
Russian aerospace forces regularly patrol the Belarusian border, which is
due to the potential risks of an attack from the alliance.
American mercenaries who arrived in Donbas a few months ago are behind the
attack on dinettes the previous afternoon. this is evidenced by the fact
that nato standard weapons were used during the shelling.
Moreover, at least two groups of American mercenaries were previously seen in
the suburbs of Donetsk which are under the control of the armed forces of
Ukraine.
It is known that American mercenaries are taking part in the hostilities in
the Donbas while taking into account the fact that the city was shelled
the previous morning using nato standard weapons, it is more than likely
that members of a private military company from the united states are also
behind the attack.
According to official data as a result of a two-hour shelling of Donetsk
there is significant damage in the Kyiv sky district of the city, in
particular, the destruction of warehouses and garages is reported.
There is unofficial information about the victims but this has not received
any documentary evidence. Experts note that if information about the attack
by American mercenaries on Donetsk is exposed Russia may send military
assistance to the self-proclaimed republics since Kyiv's current actions
violate the terms of the Minsk agreements.
On the other hand, according to u.s defense sources, American troops are
expected to land in Poland today an expert claimed.
US President Joe Biden has sent nearly 3,000 u.s troops to eastern Europe to
counter the threat from Russia the u.s fears that Russia is planning an
invasion of Ukraine, a claim that Moscow has repeatedly denied.
Washington has offered to talk to Moscow over the rising tensions but so far
the u.s has rejected Russia's main demands.
Russia seeks a promise from nato that they will never attempt to admit
Ukraine into the organization. Moscow has deployed more than 100,000 troops
near Ukraine's borders.
Russia said it could take unspecified military measures if its demands are
not met. Mr Biden said the deployment was consistent with what he had told
Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Mr. Biden sent a message to Mr. Putin and reassurance to u.s allies saying
as long as he is acting aggressively we're going to make sure we can
reassure our NATO Allies and eastern Europe that we're there.
Spokesperson John Kirby said the deployment of u.s troops was a strong
signal to Mr. Putin.
Mr. Kirby added NATO matters to the united states and it matters to our
allies.
He continued we know that Putin also bristles at nato about NATO, he's made
no secret of that. We are making it clear that we're going to be prepared to
defend our nato allies if it comes to that. hopefully, it won't come to that.
During UK prime minister Boris Johnson accused Russia of holding a gun to
Ukraine's head, adding that an incursion by Russia into Ukraine would be a
tragic miscalculation and they had agreed to apply a spirit of dialogue.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded and said Russia and president
Putin are open to communicating with everyone. even to someone who is
utterly confused.
Russian and Ukrainian tensions have reached boiling point over recent weeks
with Moscow massing tens of thousands of troops near the border with its
neighbor.
Fears over a possible attack on Ukraine have been slapped down by Russia but
several western powers have warned Putin his country will be hammered with
crippling economic sanctions if an invasion does take place.
The Russian president has come under vicious attack from a leading foreign
policy expert, who warned an invasion of Ukraine is now almost certain and
that Moscow will be going for the jugular.
