Missile Hits Apartment in Kiev, Victim Unknown!

One of the apartments near Kiev's second airport was hit by a missile or rocket launched on Saturday (26/2). From the pictures, it can be seen that this attack damaged parts of the building around the top ten floors.

According to the mayor of Kiev, Vitaliy Klitschko, emergency services have arrived at the scene, but have not been able to tell the number of victims.

The front wall of the apartment looks shattered, the objects inside are blackened and debris hanging down. There was also smoke surrounding the building, quoted from CNN.

The origin of this attack is unknown. But Russian troops are now known to have entered the Ukrainian capital. Although Russia has previously denied targeting civilians, in fact many buildings belonging to education have been hit by rockets.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, shared a photo showing this damaged building on Twitter on Saturday (26/2).

"Kiev, our wonderful city, our peace, survived another night from the missile attack of the Russian ground forces," he said.

"I ask the world to isolate Russia completely, expel the ambassador, embargo oil, destroy its economy. Stop the Russian war criminals!"

Meanwhile, Russia's Defense Ministry said it had launched a missile attack last night on Ukraine. However, they said the attack only targeted military infrastructure.

"During the night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched an attack with long-range precision weapons, using air and sea-launched cruise missiles, against Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities," Major General Igor Konashenkov said, in a video statement.
